But from there I can hit the ball as hard I want with my right hand/forearm. Tending to pull the ball a little as I get the path drilled in but the distance/power is astonishing - totally effortless
Do others feel this inside move? The inital takeaway using this method of cupping the right wrist/flattening the left has the club pointing well behind me when its parallel to the ground - left arm tight to the chest?

Extensor action is a move "away from center" and directly down the left arm to the ground - not toward the ball, unless you have zero #3 accumulator. Simply stretching the left arm in the direction it is pointed at address to a spot on the ground inside the ball-target line.
It is likley that you are now trying to extend to the ball, which could tend to cause the off plane/inside move.
