There is no such thing as
"a ground up motion" - all golf swings are top to bottom motions with only
reaction - or resistance - to the force generated being provided, and felt, from the ground up. Newtons third law - (paraphrased) all actions have an equal and opposite reaction.
I will answer your other question with a question of my own - do you know of
anyone who hits a golf ball as far with his left hand only as he does with both hands on the club, be he a swinger or a hitter?
