I've got one that shows exactly that - no throwaway AND a bent left wrist - plenty of lag pressure and plenty of compression.

How can this be? if the left shoulder is 'center'?

How could a right hand only shot work if that were the case?

And yet there is a forward leaning shaft and downward compression because the pressure points are ahead of the ball.

The requirement isn't a flat left wrist per se, it is that the 'point of force' in your hands be ahead of the ball at impact - the pressure point(s) must lead.

That said, it is certainly true that a flat left wrist is a better goal, because there is more margin for error.
