Overall, I'd say 8 out of 10. It's a trade off to get it in the box but if you iron it on a low heat under a towel to protect it it should get very flat and then roll very well. The Tournament version of the mat is 50% longer and 90% thicker, it comes rolled to avoid any creases in the first place. Also this mat is not a "traditional putting mat", we tried numerous and found them, too heavy, not foldable, not durable but most of all - they were all too slow. This one has been chosen for it's speed and after all that's what counts, Carnoustie stimps at 11-11.5. It's also been colour matched to the Open Greens (I was there). It's a woven plastic fibre, not a tufted pile so it has no nap. But even though a lot of design went into this little surface, this is only the bit to get you to the business end of the thing anyway. The comnined effect of mat and Boomerang means that if you miss your objective on the there is only one variable left - your stroke. I'm pleased you're enjoying your Boom. Thanks for the review, you said it much better than me. Let me have your Boomerang Average if you have a chance. Cheers Alex Last edited by Putting Guru : 03-14-2006 at 09:06 PM.
