Next stop: the range.

One thing I'm wondering about for later on in the process is how one monitors the FLW for full swings. With chips, I can clearly monitor this since I freeze my position at both arms straight. I don't see how to check this with a full swing without a video camera.

Feed your motion chip shots. You'll know. It's a feel. Uncock in the plane of the left arm . . . the Left Arm Flying Wedge. If you can't keep it flat on a chip then a pitch then a punch, forget about full swings. Another solution . . . IMPACT BAG. Backswing Top pound the bag. Leave the club in there SOAK IT UP. Downstroke waggle into the bag.

AND go to LOWES or wherever and get you some DOWELS. Hit the bag with the dowel. Practice fullswings in slow motion with the dowel. When you have the dowel in your hands your mind want wonder to what the clubhead is doing . . . 'cuz there ain't one. Just you and the hands your mama gave you.

Also, get a hammer . . . grip it like you would your club with only your left BUT have it facing sideways . . . 10-2-B or 10-2-D or whatever . . . hammer a wall to your left. Notice how your hand has to move inorder to hit the wall square with the hammer head. Another thing notice if you grip the hammer with your left hand vertical to the ground 10-2-B style, you have to SWIVEL to strike the wall square. But if your left hand is 10-2-D style TURNED to the Plane, you just cock and uncock . . . NO SWIVEL. People in my office think I am the biggest goof. I'm pounding crap with hammers and rulers. Laying my right forearm on desks . . . sick man!

AND ANOTHER . . . you can do this in the house just don't tell wifey bucket told you to if you bust something. These are courtesy of EC . . .

Address a LITTLE chip with your club IN FRONT of the ball and hit little chips. You ARE FORCED to Right Forearm Pick-Up and stay on your left side or you'll hit the ball on the backstroke. If you can accomplish the Backstroke this way, you'll really hit down on it crisply. Alternately, put a ball Behind the ball you are addressing and hit chips. Same effect. Gotta miss it on the way back and on the way down.

You're gonna love Pia's book. It's somewhat the antithesis of the Yellow Book, but it will get you thinking different. Work on your alignment with chips, the bag, and even a net. Then practice the way Pia advises to lower your SCORE. Pia's book and the Machine is all you need.

Give us a little book report when you finish it. I read it on the potty
