I just had to come up with something. I'm DIYing with the generous information from you guys here and a kickstart from Yoda last spring. For me, there are "positions" during the swing, but all positions are a result of proper "alignments".

I fooled myself a few times with visual perceptions and also the two dimensional video camera. The lasers were the only thing that could give me all 3 dimensions and could track different body areas.

I know this is nuts, but I had extended negotiations with the wife, and I have a "library" of pinstripes on our screened porch that respresent everything from the Plane Base Line to where laser points should be from my right forearm and left arm if my Flying Wedges are correct at Top. They track from one specific spot on the porch with a five iron in my hands. My laboratory.

I'm sorry, I go on.... To answer your question, the basic setup is a laser taped to the shaft pointing just ahead of the sweetspot. Another on the back of the left wrist. On my right forearm I use an equivalent for the PP#1 trace with one on the thumb side of my wrist. Minimally, these tell me if the FWs get misaligned during the swing. They were very helpful when I had to reconcile the forearm trace, the RFP, and a full loading of the right elbow without fouling the FWs on the way to proper alignment at the Top.

You can also use the lasers for other body areas. Depending how you position one on your right shoulder, you can determine absolute position (I have a tendency to get out of sync between my arms/hands and upper torso) or the plane the shoulder is on.

Well, it keeps me off of the streets...
