From what Yoda has written i believe this thread is not for us to analise John's swing.
Obviously most people on here would love to express their opinions on his motion but i am sure Rob Noel is more than capable of determining what works best for John. John's swing may well be a work in motion. Show me a tour player who isn't doing something to their swing. So unless John requests thoughts and opinion on his swing in an open forum then i suggest we refrain from making comments and enjoy the videos for what they are an insight into the practise regime of a PGA tour Pro.
well said golfer24, John, thank you and Rob for the great clips, im learning a ton and i enjoy the sweet sound of ball-chin music of impact youve shared with us.
Thanks guys for all your wonderful comments. Golfer24 is right this is a work in progress. The good thing is John realizes this to. I am sure any of us can take a swing of any tour player and find something that isn't exactly the way we think it should be. The same is true for John. The good news is that in the process of making his golf swing as efficient as possible his ball flight continues to improve. This is a credit to the information we all have access to(the little yellow book). Soon I will post some swings of John a couple years back and you will surely see the progress.
The intent of these video's was to show everyone how important the Basic, Aquired and Total motion curriculum is. John was so excited and amazed at how quickly he improved when he learned this that he wanted to share it with all of you.
Here are a couple of swings of John in 2004. I think you can see he has made some huge improvements. You will also be able to tell what his tendencies are. That is why it is a work in progress, a journey.

Nice job to both of you. Pivot is much more stable now, as is plane.
John - did you always focus on your hands and pressure points, or is that something that you have been doing more recently? Hard to say for sure, but the old motion looks almost pivot control, and new motion is clearly hands control.
Love that stable, balanced machine A big win on the way for sure!

somebody needs to write a little yellow book on putting lol
Wait, don't leave the theater yet because we aren't finished.
