Maybe if Lynn had not been scared off by Tomesello in 83 (and lost 20 years)and changed his focas from GOLF to makeing money then things would be different.

HOW DO YOU HIT A GOLF BALL

Denny-- please correct me if I am wrong, but I assume "THE GUY" you are referring to is Mac O'Grady. His website (again, I ASSUME is it his) indicates that, at least as of 2005, that he would be publishing his research. Could you offer any further insights? Thanks!

Trying to find the out-of-print book "Golf" by Bob MacDonald. Found a few books co-authored by a Bob MacDonald but published in the 60's. Not sure if this is the same guy.

I know someone who talks with Mac every now and then. And Mac told him he won't publish anything unless it is perfect then he said nothing in golf is ever perfect. Not sure what exactly that means but it sounds like he won't be publishing it.

I've ordered (and received) those books. Not only is it not the 'same guy', there is no Bob MacDonald at all in those books!
Caveat Emptor!
P.S. There were several copies available on various sites when I first posted on the book a couple of years ago. I named names. Almost immediately the price went from under $100 to in excess of $300. Then, the supply disappeared. 'Ol Yoda learned a lesson on that one!

What about Paul Runyan: The short way to lower scoring.
Nobody has mentioned this book. I wonder why?

Interesting reading through this old thread lots of "good book for a swinger" but did not see the reciprocal of that for a hitter.
Is there any good books for those of us who use right arm powered swing, other than you know, TGM?

Since I am incapable of getting anything out of reading TGM, I have today ordered these books after reading this thread:
1 "How to Play Your Best Golf All the Time"
Tommy Armour; Paperback; $0.01
1 "Golf Manual"
Alex Hay; Hardcover; $4.17
1 "The Mechanics of Golf"
Alex Hay; Paperback; $1.05
1 "Four Magic Moves to Winning Golf"
Joe Dante; Paperback; $5.99
1 "How to Feel a Real Golf Swing: Mind-Body Techniques from Two of Golf's Greatest Teachers"
Bob Toski; Paperback; $0.01
5 books for 11 dollars + shipping (which is much more).
I already have Percy Boomer: On learning Golf.
and Paul Runyan's book.
That should keep me busy ...
