I've been "hitting" for the past year, starting from impact fix. During my lesson with Ted last fall he had me open my hips just a smidge at set-up,but also was pointing out that I wasn't clearing my right hip enough on my backswing. Have been working on that. However, on another site (Yes, I check all the TGM related sites) there is a short video demonstrating pre-turning of the right hip at address. Am I right in assuming that this applies only if I start from an adjusted address???
Thanks folks. Dr Dave
I have had great success with a hitting pattern using 10-15-B, Delayed Hip Action, otherwise known as "pre-turned hips".
Since Delayed Hip Action is listed in 12-1-0 of the basic Drive Loading Hitting Pattern along with Standard Address (mid body hands), I don't think starting from impact fix with pre-turned hips would be a compatible variation (at least not an optimal variation).
