In my game, I use Right Arm Swinging (3 Barrel) and Three Barrel hitting....both work well together....

And with a right shoulder drive are you really talking about a 10-20-C Shoulder Turn Throw?

Look to 10-19-0 why hitting and swinging don't mix....


Right Arm Swing is using longitudinal acceleration not radial.

Ahh...I see. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember you once said that you use a Four Barrel Swinging procedure .

Regarding Right Shoulder Drive, I wasn't referring to Trigger Types (10-20). I was referring to the initial Cranking of the Gyroscope on the Downstroke by the Swinger. This is done by using the Right Shoulder Turn actuated by Hip Action, and results in an instantaneous acceleration that Spins the Flywheel. Per 12-2-0, the recommended Trigger Type for Swingers is the Wrist Throw (10-20-E).

Sure I used a Four Barrel Swinging Stroke and successfully....but with my limited practice time now, I wanted an all around golf swing....the logical choice is the right arm swing. The Four Barrel Stroke I used was as Homer suggests in 2-M-3 (with the Driver, see the Lack of a Longer Club comment)....remember pressure #4 should be changed to #1. See 10-11-0-1. I have read where Ben Doyle teaches 4 Barrel Swinging!!!

DG- I did say in my first post that a ‘true right arm swing’ uses CF. If it didn’t it would not be classified as a ‘true swing’ procedure. I believe you and Homer.

**However, if you back up one sentence to the Axe Handle procedure (HITTING), he talks about the potential for serious injury to the right elbow ligaments. Mike, I'm surprised you didn't mention anything about that!!! **

DG- YOU re- read the last paragraph of 7-19. That 'Twinge" or potential for injury comes from NOT using a Drive Load Axe Handle procedure- that’s a thrusting right arm drive like in HITTING - a straight line piston action- and FROM instead using the Right Arm to ‘Swing” with a longitudinal acceleration (7-19-3). THIS IS WHY I DIDN'T MENTION IT !!!!!!!!!!

I am glad you and others never experienced any injury. I don’t think it is a problem for everyone or anyone when used occasionally.
