I am curious regarding more exact measurement of the swing. Yes, there are launch monitors, but that's not what I am after.
I guess someone - somehow - has performed a much more detailed measurement of the swing path. I.e. in order to produce a more complete report on the exaxt path the shaft and clubhead is travelling during the swing. The report would pretty much be a 3D plot with indication of position, speed, rotation and acceleration.
How did they go about it? Any references? I guess Callaway, Acushnet & others have something - but what?
Did they use laser, high-speed cameras or just what?
Maybe there is some kind of device or setup on the market already? Something you can just buy, install & start swinging. That also produces a report on your performance.
You may be be interested in the Smartswing. I just came back from a fitting using the driver model and it mapped out my swing path from address to impact. It still has a few kinks in it tho since this is the first model they have put out on the market.
