Thoughts on D plane from a TGM perspective

Recently saw some videos regarding ball flight theory named "D plane". Quite honestly, it was all very confusing and complicated.

Are there any sections in the book that address this theory and i'm wondering what, if any, TGM experts here take on the utility of the theory.
