Is your Backstroke Left Foot and Knee Action sufficiently active? Could these issues be related? Please comment, and I'll be back. I think my initial terminology might have been a little off, just to clarify "under plane" on the backstroke for me meant laid off or under plane with the clubhead. When you talk of under plane do you mean tracing inside the plane line with the butt end of the club after reaching parallel? I say this because you mention the follow through when my shaft is clearly way under (vertical), using that viewpoint. Clubface is typically more open than the video posted, I worked pretty hard there to hinge the left wrist with no bending/cupping. Since working on this however the left side of the range has seen some action. I'd always thought of the right hip (or both for that matter) as reacting to the turn of the upper body in the backswing or following if you like, there's no attempt at actively resisting. Insightful observation however as in total motion and start down my right hip tends to work upwards as opposed to down towards the ball (start down) inhibiting clearance through impact. Finally did you mean could all the issues be related or just the left foot/knee action and right hip? I'm thinking all... jaridyard View Public Profile Send a private message to jaridyard Find all posts by jaridyard
