thank you

Thank you for the information.
It will be a 90 mile commute in each direction but I will call him Monday and inquire about his facility and technology and indoor capability etc.
I can only go so far without an educated help. This cannot be a do it yourself kit or I will be starting all over again "next time".

And Alex has done it . . .

Twice!

Plus, he's been my personal guide -- and Mrs. Yoda's, too! -- when we've been on his side of the pond. He coordinated my teaching gigs at Gleddoch House in Langbank and World of Golf in Glasgow (where we later visited his favorite haunt . . . an Italian restaurant!). Along the way, he served admirably as part of our 'evening' crew with Brian Gay and Kip Henley at Cameron House in Loch Lomond. Not to mention being my gallery bud at The Barclays Scottish Open and my golf partner at Dundonald, Carnoustie and St. Andrews.

Thanks, Alex . . .

You're the best!

This is great, Kevin! Next time you make the trip, though you need to detour by my house to pick me up in Indy!!

P.S. Despite what Google says, 74 south-east out of Indy to 75 south in Cincinnati seems to be slightly less boring of a drive and a bit faster and smoother than 65 south. :)

Hey Kev

Do you mind picking me up before Bambam? Toronto isn't too far out of the way and I'll kick in gas.

I'm going to wait outside right now. Don't take too long ok

O.B.,

You and brother John, aka The Judge, aka Throw the Book, have been down south more than a few times on your own:

-- Orange County National.

-- Cuscowilla.

-- Atlanta Country Club.

-- A little-known 'toonament' in Awguzta, where you 'mudded' it with the best.

And me, this year to Toronto and Glen Abbey.

Thanks, O.B. What a ride!

:salut:

Here's to the years to come. The best is yet to be!

PHOTOS:

1. Our crew at Glen Abbey. O.B. (far right) and brother John (counterclockwise next) made it happen.

2. The Judge at address (the right elbow therapy is before my time).

Minneapolis to Toronto to Indy to THE SWAMP. No problem.

Line to Line!

Hehe, Im still waiting on the corner for Kev , man he's taking his sweet time.

That other fella in the photo on the right is also a forum member, Kirk Clements from Pincher Creek , Alberta. After that session, his first with Yoda, Kirk dropped a few off his handicap and won his flight in his club c. The Judge dropped 4 shots but wont give the strokes back to me and I won a couple of tournies too despite my advancing years and waist line.

So if anyone wants to know why I love this place .............its improved and aligned compression. Yes self interest raises its ugly head again. Its a lot of fun to hang with Lynn too.

More to come too, God willing...........and if Kev ever gets here. Maybe Daryl can pick me up? Ill call him.

3. Alex atop Hell's Bunker, also at St. Andrews.

For those with a keen eye, the picture 3 is actually from Carnoustie (I am standing atop of one of the Spectacle Bunkers on the 14th Hole) rather than St Andrews. A long hole on a normal day but we were playing it downwind that day so it was driver and 8 iron for a 480 yard par 5 (Yoda wouldn't believe his caddie when he was told to hit the 8 iron from 170 yards)
Hell's Bunker makes this one look easy :crybaby:
I remember the 17th at St Andrews as the sun was just setting in the background you could see the shadows forming on the 1st/18th hole and the shadow of the Old Course Hotel falling onto the 17th fairway. Awesome stuff. Also Yoda fancied having a play in the road hole bunker too :D
That was an awesome week getting to hang out with Mr and Mrs Yoda as well as getting to meet Brian and Kip.
Thanks again Yoda, looking forward to seeing you next summer for the Scottish Open :D
Alex

Okay, guys, my teaching center at Cuscowilla will be completed by the end of March. I'm thinking we need to schedule some sort of LBG Grand Opening celebration. You know, two or three days of 'in the bond' fun and fellowship, along with a heavy dose of Alignment Golf. With a little prodding, we may even be able to get Jeff and Ted (aka golfnome and yodasluke, two of the best teachers on the planet) to show up.

All complete with 'good guy' pricing!

What do you think?

Here's a sneak preview of the Lynn Blake Golf Academy at Cuscowilla.

Obviously, the interior specs are proprietary, but here's what's coming. I've been told by our 'name brand' video people that -- hands down -- this is the finest facility they've ever seen. Given that their existing clientelle represents a veritable 'who's who' in golf, that's a pretty bold statement.

:happy3:

PS You'll have to rotate the drawing. In Windows, go to View / Rotate View / Counterclockwise.

trying not to sound ignorant but the large doors on the range side elevation, are those for hitting shots out of? Its not something we see in Phoenix with our weather situation.

Interesting that you are using pine cedar (shingles?) on the roof, is that common in Georgia, again its not something used much in AZ. I think that will look pretty cool.

Yes, that's the Teaching Bay, 24' wide.

And the cedar shingles and stacked stone encompassing the 2,400 sq ft facility are a nice touch, don't you think?

Inside the teaching bay, we have plenty of room for righties, lefties, and video-computerized down-the-line views, front views, rear views and overhead views. Plus all kinds of launch monitors, fitting carts, putting labs, wall charts and photos and just who knows what the heck all else!

:happy3:

There is also an interior conference center -- with lounge, fireplace, flatscreen TV, and refreshment area -- plus a Yoda office -- :yoda: <like I'll actually be there very much!> -- and storage.

Not to mention the build-up of hundreds of square yards of pristine turf in front and to the sides of the building, all maintained expressly for the purpose of helping my students learn to LAUNCH MISSLES toward the 'regular' folk 330 yards dead away!

Finally, six additional stations open directly onto the range. All are covered and feature climate controls for summer/winter.

As you said, gmb . . . "pretty cool".

Pretty cool, indeed.

8-)

Thats great news and well deserved:salut: . And to think this whole think started when you got a cold. Which end of the range is your facility located, nearer to the entrance or the proshop? Did you remember to apply for the liquor license?

Actually, neither. It's located on the opposite end of the range, straightaway from the practice tee we used during the LBG Homecoming Classic in Oct of '08.

The liquor license is no problemo, and you won't believe this, but . . .

When's the grand opening for LBG Forum members? Drew told me if I slipped a $100 bill to you - I could get on the list. Here are my terms- I will only attend if 12 Piece is banned from the event :confused1 I don't want to hear people ask him what are you up to? and hear him repeatedly say "Nothing man - same old thing" I demand Orange Juice on hand in large quantities! Also since I would like to have at least one appetizer - without tackling someone- Ted Fort needs to be controlled- locked up - tied down - to make it simple I propose we make it a swinging party and no hitters allowed. For security purposes - we'll need to have all the Canadians undress at the door- Eh! I'm assuming the industrial strength smoke extractors also removes fog- or is this a fog free facility?

Finally, I must say that the Gold Watch comment flew by me the first time - However, after careful analyis - I figured out the secret "Bat" code - Robin. Mr. Chapman- Welcome to the big leagues - secret LBG upper deck club - your package will arrive shortly- with of course the secret sworn oath that you'll be taking - for non-disclosures issues and more. We here at LBG -.... Uhm - LBG does not ..... Uhm I'm guessing that they don't want to give people the wrong reason for posting and therefore the 1000 post gift items are not officially mentioned nor promoted- if you ask admin they'll deny any such gift basket/ club exists. Bucket will be at your home tonight with four other large men- please do not fight them in front of your kids- go and take it like a man- the dowel beating is merely a necessary step in the journey. Finally Grasshopper - do not get a big head over the 1000 post thingy - Master Yoda is closing in on 10,000 - when you can snatch the dowel from Yoda's hand you will be able graduate but until then you are merely a grain of sand on the beach.
