Tomasello's "1 to 2"
If you are familiar with Tomasello's videos, what do you call his "1 to 2" move? Is that the start-up swivel? Is there a place in the yellow book that could explain it? I just started doing this and for some reason I'm smacking the crap out of the ball now. Any info would be great.
Thanks! |
Flying wedges assembly and sweep
Quote:
I think that Tomasello's 1 to 2 move's purpose is to assemble the power package early during startup using a full Sweep pattern (see 10-22-A). |
Hey thanks, I thought I was forgotten.

I have a question, when the club is parallel to the ground on the backswing, should the face match your spine angle, or should it be straight up and down?
I am referring to a swinging motion. |
The first time I tried this I fell in love with it. It got me interested more and more about Tomasello. I just need to learn to do it right all the time. Seems like I can get really flat. I was told this was possibly due to over-rotating my left forearm. Also can get the shanks with the wedges. Like everything else, just need to practice.
Thanks for replying everyone. Keep it going if you have anymore! -Curtis |
PS One more thing. I've read that Tomasello said and did different things sometimes, and he later on admitted that he made some mistakes along the way (don't we all). My question is did he make any changes to this (1 to 2) after it was filmed (Australia)? Thanks again!

A lot to learn with the 1 to 2 position

Never have I hit the ball as good as I am now. Maybe it's just in my head but it all started when I started the "1 to 2"...
PS Thanks Delaware for your reply. |

Tomasello and the sweet spot plane
In Homer's diagram 2-C-1 #1 the sweet spot plane is above the clubshaft plane which is laying on the inclined plane.
After Tomasello performs his 1 to 2 move, are the sweetspot plane and the clubshaft plane now both laying on the inclined plane or does the sweet spot plane remain above the inclined plane? |

Cocks the right elbow
Quote:
In reference to post #12, after Tommy executes the 1 to 2 move, he uses the cocking of the right elbow to move the left arm. But, once you get past the drill, Tommy uses the Magic of the Right Forearm procedure as described in the last paragraph of 7-3 to execute the backstroke. Or he used a combination of standard hip-action and the cocking of the right elbow on the back stroke. DG |
