Not Daryl's fault my friend. I am proud that Daryl stood up for what WE ALL believe in.

Thanks Bagger, Kev and Daryl,
I hang out here just about every day. People treat each other with respect and the topics are just about always edifying. It is comfortable here and I have learned more in the past several months than I learned about golf anywhere over the previous 50+ years. I am playing the best golf of my life and enjoying it more than ever. I've seen some of the other forums and I just don't understand their penchant toward contentiousness. No matter what you look at, it seems it is largely the same characters just looking for somebody to harrass rather than to assist. So, to all of you here at LBG, THANKS! |

I WAY over reacted to posts the next day on another forum that were made in fun. I am perhaps a little paranoid because of another group of people, that's a different story and John is not a part of that mess. John is a seeker, and really enjoyed Lynn's replies to him. John doesn't want to be associated with any particular group, he just wants to learn and apply what he learns to his students. Really no different than the rest of us. Damage was done, both by John and myself by his not being completely up front, and by my over reaction. Sorry to make this into a soap opera. My hope is that at some point we can start over, if at all possible. I still feel John would enjoy the time he spent here, and would ask some more questions that would precipitate more learning from YODA by all of us who follow his teaching. I believe that list is growing, while others are sinking. This perhaps is part of growing pains, nothing more... :salut: :golf: Thanks for listening, Kevin |

All I needed to hear was that his questions were sincere and not the 'alter ego' baiting gambit we've endured so many times in years past. I don't know John, nor had I ever heard his name until he appeared in these threads. Guess I just 'don't get around much anymore'. :laughing9 But the support I'm hearing for him from the home team is enough for me. It's a new day. Welcome back, John. Let's hit it! |
I just got that!

You have all this drama preceeding your post with a hatchet-burying ritual by THE Big Cheeze, The Peacemaker, and some other helpful sorts, then you jack the thread. Man, you are good. Practice, practice, practice.... How's the weather in Philly? Does Temple U. have a golf team? Gotta go get some rest for a day at The Links tomorrow. Around here you never know when it might be the last. Snow is in the forecast. |
Well, I bought a pair of mittens, yesterday, myself.

I think that John must really want to figure stuff out if he's made an act of contrition. Lynn and everyone running our site are very sharp and email forum posts really do show a person's demeanor. Talk to you in a bit and everyone else. Shalom! YBGF |

Thank You to Kevin. Thank You to anyone else I am unaware of that put in a good word for me. As I tried to say right before my 'vacation' I tend to ask questions alot. I also ask questions to stimulate discussion. I ask question on topics I have strong opinions on even if they are opposite of the side I agree with to see how it will hold up. As far as TGM goes, I am a novice. I barely understand the terminology and would love a recommendation of the proper forum to go to to learn it. As Daryl mentioned at one point, if there is a place where I should go to ask question, I will be happy to post them there so as not to interfere in topics where agreement is the main topic. Don't be surprised to see me agreeing, disagreeing and discussing with people all over the net. It is how I learn best. I know some do not like it. (my wife included) I think at some point, some one also mentioned that this is not the place to challenge TGM theory. Where is the correct place? I think there was also a mention from Lynn expressing a desire to learn more about the D Plane. Please ask any questions you like and I will try my best to answer them. I hope to engage with all of you and do it a manner as to not wear out my re'welcome. JG |
Thank you everybody.
You are a very BIG man YODA! John, for a lot of ramblings that may seem basic, but a lot of great posts from YODA: http://public.me.com/kevinpgapro1234 Any of my friends here are welcome to this stuff. Nothing original, but it's how I learn. John & YODA, does 2-J-3 explain the difference in visualiztion you guys were discussing? Angle of Approach vs Arc of Approach? Have a GREAT day gang! Kevin |

Welcome John hope you enjoy this place in cyberspace. For me personally , having spent a good deal of time with Lynn .....being here is more like being in Lynn's living room than in a club house , dorm room or place for ugly debate to be perfectly frank. Im glad you're here , there's a lot of stuff I could ask you in regard to D Plane etc......but I must admit to some wariness towards your alter egos , opposite side of the fence approach. Why not just play it straight and avoid the angst you say that accompanies it? Couldnt you operate just as effectively being your self? I dunno maybe Im making more of this than I should? Glad you're back...... |

I will keep the point in bold at the forefront of my mind. Thanks for that visualization. Sadly, the question part is straight. The combativeness is the other side that I will keep in check per your description of the room. JG |

Im glad to hear that, thanks. You didnt need to say that but thanks. Questions are good. Homer wasnt the sort who would close the door on new knowledge, nor is Lynn. 1-H. "Because of questions of all kinds, reams of additional detail must be made available---but separately. And probably endlessly." |
Thanks Kevin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please. I personally have challenged TGM for 31 years. So far, the scoreboard ain't pretty . . . TGM 4,903,324 Yoda -0- No challenges accepted here? If not here, then where? Yes, we are the recognized -- praised and pilloried -- 'defender of the flame'. I'm proud of that. Others pay lip service and even extol their TGM credentials. But, when the storms come, they strike their tents and run. The base issue is always incomplete understanding, and too often, the convenient need to 'spin' and self-promote. I have answered thousands of questions in these threads. Each answer was based on law and principle, not personal preference and opinion. Expect that today and in the future. No waffling. No slight of hand. No "because I said so". So . . . Ask! Homer Kelley himself said, "I thrive on questions". Me, too! Other than to maintain compliance with our posting rules, our tens of thousands of threads and posts are unedited. Search our archives. Read the 'catch of the day'. Determine for yourself whether or not we are merely stubborn 'literalists', or . . . A reasonably savvy bunch of guys who can help you if you let us. :salut: |
Lynn, you make us proud.
