Hank Haney told us that at the Australian Teaching Summit. This is how Hank teaches hinge action or as he calls it release.

i thought we didn't cock the right wrist? how do we uncock it if we do not cock it?

Do you think the wrsits need stay "uncocked" for that long..creating a follow-through arc that is that long....

Does the Finish swivel need to occur that late?

Does the re-cocking of the wrists need to be delayed that long?

Does the refolding of the elbows need to be articically created?

Does all the above really matter? you've already hit the ball!!!

Or does it affect other variables that occured in the impact to follow-through interval?

Gee ...if I have a high finish does the ball behave the same if I have a low left finish?

No...why is that?..i've already hit the ball..But for some unknown reason is does affect ball flight...Doesn't it!!!!!

Sorry..for the bad attitude

some people ...

Get it...

some people ..

Got it.....

for some people...

That's Good...

For those that don't ...

get it....

Keep searchin...

For those that don't..

Got it....

Here's praying that you will...

For those who get it, got it...well that's GOOD!!!

Cheers!!!

like i said, this didn't tell me anything. i am here to learn how to swing a golf club. thank you for your time though.

Flipping Nora!:naughty:

I would be curious to know if by cocking he really mean't bending with a C variation grip - which puts the right wrist bend on the same line as the wristcock. As it would then be correct to flatten out the right wrist as the left wrist uncocks during the release.

We could uncock it from level to uncocked.

But ideally, the left wrist uncocks - the right wrist remains level....

Agreed - just saying you don't need to cock a wrist to uncock it according to golfing machine terminology.

Tiger is trying to not swivel and is also trying to swing down the target line more instead of swinging more left.

That is why he looks the way he does.

Jerry1967-

Annikan may be an acquired taste on this forum, but you will be VERY hard pressed to find two people on any forum that knows more about the golf swing then AS. Skywalker doesn’t spoon feed you information but allows one to think about the answer and the question. And he has fun- I mean how many times can someone answer the same questions with the same answer. Enjoy what he presents- you may like what YOU discover.

peace

btw- I wish everyone could have seen or heard AS's presentation of how the spine works in a golf swing. Those who did understand the relationship between the back swing, axis tilt and why the stationary head exists. (because the spine is not a constant set tilted angle but adjusts itself throughout the stroke-oops) AS Rocks!

6B . . . You speak the TRUTH. Diamond D is the REAL DEAL.

AND he KNOWS why the follow through is the way it is. It is a walk on the DARKSIDE.

Jerry . . . Never NEVER EVER NEVER EVER underestimate Annikan. Sometimes you don't get the answers in a way that is easy.

Maybe . . . but I think there are those out here that would surmise an entirely different reason. D.O. maybe just maybe.
