Mostly before the journey began.....

Lifelong tennis player(4.5 and maybe a 5-) won many local tournaments.
All American swimmer leaves me still loving the water--just NO laps.Sailing big-time:race one-designs and cruised and lived on Columbia 36 in Miami for 7 yrs. Fishing(mostly off of the cruising boat), chess, birding, stunt-kite flying and in the early days was a good city league fast-pitch softball pitcher. Play some slow pitch now. Might sound like a bunch of stuff to do, but bear in mind, that next to Yoda's 700 years, I am probably the senior man here. So that is why, instead of hole-ies and pole-ies, I am interested in shooting age. Don't have to get much better, just a little older before all the assembled maladays join forces.
Oh yeah--along the way I chased a few girls while logging 40,000 flying hours. Wheeeew, Have a good one, pshr

I am privileged with a wife and 3 kids, so hobbies are just ... hobbies. But I try to approach golf as a sport and not as a hobby.

In the winter: Running and strenght training, cross country skiing and telemark style alpine skiing. Almost anything that gets the hart rate up and the muscles soar appeals to me.

I the summer: I used to run orienteering in my youth. I still like it, but golf is getting in the way :P

Every winter I do a couple of "projects". Domestic renovation or a version of my long time favourote: Hi fi modification. We have two hi fi setups in the house, and I have put my "signature" on every component.
Last winter I did a lot of hi fi stuff. The biggest was to design and build a pair of surround speakers of very high quality.
