I think VJ Trolio's ideas tie very well to the MacDonald drills. I like to do MacDonald drill # 2, feeling some pressure on the left foot before my hips are turned 45°. Similar to VJ's drill... In YODA's swing sequence, I believe he is doing exactly that...
