I decided to post my reply here only because it may help others. After downloading another Media Player and finding it still didn't allow viewing the video I had to search further. What I found was I had to slow down acceleration, once I did that all worked fine. Here's how, in the Media Player go to tools, then options, then performance tab, and then either slow down acceleration or turn it off all together and your'e home free.
