Paging Patrick O'Hara . . .
Dude . . .
Like your little tag line thingie. Interesting choice.
Why did you choose it? What does it mean to you?
Holla back!
Thanks!

Mr. One Dozen:
I enjoy your sense of humor, you're funny. Must be around my age as you referenced a couple things such as Fast Times at Ridgemont High. How did that not win an Oscar?!!
Concerning the tag line: "It is the golfer's job to take club down angle of approach to low point." Lynn said this to the class this last May in Las Vegas and I wrote it down because it made so much sense to me. It simplified my thought process to concentrate on one thing. If I can do that on each swing the quality of shot will be pretty darn good.
Hey, I need some help with my putting. I could never get my right forearm on plane at address using my old grip (reverse overlap with the grip underneath the heel pad). I have no chance of getting my left hand grip through the life line. How important is that and how do you do it? I'm trying to keep a FLW but seem to struggle a little, any suggestions?
Here's something for you, enjoy!

Thanks dude! I couldn't open the link . . . There's no party there for me! I'm 1970 vintage . . . You mean Fast Times DIDN'T win an Oscar???? Travesty man! That's worse than $70 and a ride to the clinic.
So with the It is the golfer's job to take club down angle of approach to low point are you Hitting or Swinging? I that is kind of my thought process to BUT I'm a Swinger. Holla back at me!
I'm the LAST person to give putting advice. But check out the short game section. There's a really good thread where Yoda goes into how he sets up for putting. I'll see if I can find it and put the link up. I'm pretty sure Homer said DON'T change your grip for putting so what about scrapping the reverse overlap? Who knows . . . . I'd say you gotta get #3 zeroed out for power concerns. You don't really need much transfer power with putting I wouldn't think.
Just be glad I had fast reflexes . . . .

Let's try this one!! http://wavcentral.com/sounds/movies/fasttime/aloha.mp3
I'm a Swinger who has Hitting thoughts and hallucinations! I 'preciate the putting tips, I'll look for the Yoda thread. I'm more than willing to scrap the grip if I can get my hands on 'dat thing in a comfertable manner.
After reading the fact you have over 2,000 posts in 2 years, I am a little concerned...that's over 2 posts a day average!!! I think you might be a Yoda groupie...keep 'em coming as I am not smart enough to ask the question.

I have looked at a couple posts concerning putting and sorting through it. In order to zero out #3 the grip feels different but doable. Any other tidbits?
I noticed your post on Getting better, good luck, I'll follow your progress and know you'll improve with HB's help.

Ted . . . can slap putt . . . you should axe him. He uses a Paw stroke . . . sets BOTH forearms on plane with bent elbows and just rocks his shoulders . . . read about Paw. It's pretty deadly. Your low point is more towards the middle of your chest so play it there and you'll be using vertical hinging. It's a great way to putt.
The putter is pretty upright anyway so it's tough to get a lot of #3 angle anyhow.

I have a bone to pick with Ted regarding this. He showed my brother how to set his forearms on plane and ever since I'm getting my butt kicked worse than usual.
