There was a show in the San Francisco area called Bay Area Backroads. The host Doug McConnell had a small dog named Mutley. The dog Mutley could occasionally be seen suba diving, surfing or skiing.
San Jose Muni used to have a cat that would take golf balls off of the 12 fairway after people hit drives. I wouldn't be surprised if the owner trained the cat to do it , the funny thing was it would only keep balls that were in good condition. Locals would tee of with a beat up ball whenever they got to this hole.
